This book offers a fine range of excursions on foot around Skye's hills and coasts. The walks range from easy strolls to serious scrambling. Each route is provided with a detailed description, an assessment of its seriousness and a sketch map. For the armchair walker there are excellent photographs too, especially in the David & Charles edition.

Note: The Warner edition is cheaper and is printed in smaller format (what I think of as climbing guide size), so it is more convenient for carrying however it has less photographs and those that are included are only black & white. Both editions are good value, but which is best for you depends on how you want to use it.
