Elgol is a crofting and fishing village in the Strathaird area of the Island. The small, sparsely populated village is scattered along the final mile of the road from Broadford.
The village starts with a small group of houses, almost the first of which is Coruisk House.
The peak of Blà Bhein (Blaven) breaks the skyline in the background.
The centre of the village clusters around the small shop.
The final houses are down by the jetty & harbour which nestles out of sight in the dip. Marsco is seen in the background.
This picture was taken from coastal path to Prince Charlie's cave.
